| Plasti-Clad Ultra Lite ™ cases are made using a Tri-wall strucure of composite panels laminated together to form a high strength,
light weight design. They incorporate standard ATA hardware and are available in a variety of colors and with or without an ABS over-laminate. |
Plasti-Clad Ultra-Lite™ cases are a lighter version of our standard Plasti-Clad™ case line. Typically, the weight of these cases are 15% less than a comparable Plasti-Clad™ case, and 35% to 45% less than a wood ATA shipping container. |
 |
The secret of Plasti-Clad Ultra-Lite™ lies in the panel construction. Three sheets of high quality 4mm corrugated polypropylene are pressure laminated together with the middle layer offset against the corrugation line. This yields a 12mm panel structure that is far stonger than a single sheet of corrugated plastic and comparable in performance to a molded case wall. The resulting panels are highly resistant to penetration and rough handling in a commercial shipping environment. |
Unlike Plasti-Clad™ which requires a larger initial investment that traditional wood ATA cases, Plasti-Clad Ultra-Lite™costs the same as a comparable wood case, with greater performance for many applications. |
How do I know which product I need
Plasti-Clad Ultra-Lite™ is not for every application. The decision about which panel structure to use is based on expected case life, dunnage weight, interior design and external hardware needs. We will be happy to work with you to develop the perfect solution. Contact Us to get started today. |
